Davies launched a dedicated Recovery unit in June 2009. Within its first 5 months it is handling £6 million of potential recovery actions.
Davies Recovery is a new and dedicated unit within Davies Group offering bespoke handling of all third party recovery cases to clients. The unit was set up by Jim Douglas in June 2009 and is based at Stoke on-Trent. The team includes Hannah Sargeant and Sam Brook, and will provide specific focus on managing client recoveries with the aim of improving service levels, increasing the rate and value of recovered cases and building a new revenue stream for the business.
Hannah came to the Group with extensive legal experience before joining the new unit, and Sam worked first with the Sevice Centre and then in claims handling. “Both are keen for Davies Recovery to become a great success. Working with them has been a tremendous pleasure,” said Mr. Douglas.
The development of the unit has been rapid with referral numbers increasing from 53 in the first month to 473 by the end of September, with a potential maximum recovery value now in excess of £6 million. Following the successful establishment of the unit, Douglas is moving to a new role withing the Group. The unit will now be overseen by Mark Ponking, Technical Director. “I’m looking forward to helping the unit expand and grow.” said Mr Ponking.
The Davies branches have embraced the benefits of the new unit and now routinely refer matters when they beleive there is a viable recovery or are uncertain what information or evidence might be required. |
