Jim Pittman joins Davies as Director of Claims Operations.
Davies has today announced that they have concluded a long and careful search to fill the position of Director of Claims Operations and have persuaded Jim Pittman to leave his current post at Merlin Claims. He was their Service Centre Director for a little under a year.
Prior to that he held a number of senior claims, most notably with HBOS Insurance, where he was Director of Claims.
At Davies he will report directly to Group CEO, Charles Crawford. His role sees him take overall responsibility for the Davies loss adjusting network across all areas of property, liability, construction & engineering as well as major/complex loss. He will also take charge of Davies’s recently expanded inspector field force.
Speaking of his joining Charles Crawford said “I am delighted that Jim has decided to come and join us at Davies. He is highly respected throughout the industry and with him joining, my Executive operational team is complete. This is a key role for us that demands leadership and vision; qualities that Jim has consistently demonstrated throughout his career. This appointment places Jim alongside Vanessa Greatbatch and Martin Bishop who run our Claims Management and Fulfilment divisions respectively. With Mark Chapman and Darren Coombes remaining fully focussed on their client-facing responsibilities, I believe Davies now has a team second to none in the claims services market.”
